Day 6 – Resting in Love
Matthew 11:28 ~
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
So many of us are tired… not just physically, but deep within our hearts. We carry responsibilities, worries, expectations, and the quiet pressure to keep going even when we feel worn down. God never intended for us to live in constant exhaustion.
Jesus lovingly invites us to come to Him… not once we have it all together, but exactly as we are. Resting in His love means laying down the need to strive, perform, or prove ourselves. It means trusting that His love is enough to carry what we cannot.
Today, allow yourself to pause. Let His presence be your resting place. You are safe, cared for, and deeply loved.

Many of us experience deep weariness—not just physical fatigue but an emotional and spiritual exhaustion from life's demands. This exhaustion can sometimes feel overwhelming, yet the message of Matthew 11:28 provides profound comfort and hope. It reminds us that rest is not only physical but also a spiritual refuge found in God’s love. From personal experience, I've found that setting aside time each day to consciously rest in God’s presence transforms how I handle stress and anxiety. It’s a moment where I let go of the need to perform or control outcomes, simply resting in the assurance that I am loved and cared for as I am. Resting in love means differently for each person; it might look like quiet prayer, meditating on scripture, or even a walk in nature contemplating the promises of peace and renewal. The key is to pause the constant activity and striving, which wears down the heart and mind, and embrace a place of safety and replenishment. During my journey, I discovered that such rest reignites my strength and brings clarity and calm to a previously burdened spirit. This reflective practice also invites us to examine areas where we might be carrying unnecessary burdens or expectations—from ourselves or others—and gently release them with faith that God’s love will sustain us. Embracing rest through faith is not a one-time act but a daily commitment to trust that His love is sufficient for all our needs. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, consider what it might look like to truly rest in God's love today. What burdens can you hand over to Him? How does it feel to come as you are, weariness and all, and find rest? This transformative rest is deeply healing and allows us to move forward with renewed hope and strength.
