VSG TRANSFORMATION
In December 2021, I got VSG surgery and since then I’ve lost over 125 lbs. I spent 6 days a week in the gym for 2 years with NO DAYS OFF 🙅🏽♀️ I changed my relationship with food and found my flow with a healthier lifestyle.
My love for the gym and all things fitness allowed me the opportunity to be a brand ambassador for Prozis, GlowMode by SHEIN and so many other brands. That love ran so deep that I decided to become a Certified Personal Trainer in 2024 through LifeTime.
After a few months being around a whole lot of testosterone and passionate gym rats, I realized my love for fitness was personal. It wasn’t just about looking good but truly keeping my physical and mental health intact. Working out because my therapy, yes, but also an essential piece to propel my life forward in such a positive way.
For all my PCOS girlies that needed a sign to take their health in their own hands: HERE IS YOUR SIGN 🪧 YOU GOT THIS!

Embarking on a VSG journey is truly life-changing, and I'm so excited to share more about how I've navigated this path, especially for my fellow PCOS warriors! Losing over 125 pounds wasn't just about the surgery; it was about committing to a whole new lifestyle, learning to love my body's new capabilities, and embracing a journey that truly took me "THROUGH THICK AND THIN." For those wondering about the timeline after gastric sleeve surgery, the first few months are incredibly crucial and often the most challenging, but also where you see significant changes. In those initial 3 months, it was all about healing and adapting to a liquid, then pureed, then soft food diet. My focus was on hydration and hitting my protein goals, even when portion sizes were tiny. The weight loss during this period was rapid, which was incredibly motivating, but it also came with adjustments to my body image and energy levels. I remember feeling a mix of excitement and exhaustion, but seeing the numbers drop on the scale and noticing clothes fitting differently kept me pushing forward. Beyond the initial phase, establishing a consistent fitness routine became my anchor. When I say I was in the gym 6 days a week, it wasn't always high-intensity from day one. I started slow, focusing on walking and light resistance training, gradually building up my strength and endurance. For anyone asking about gastric sleeve weight loss, incorporating both strength training and cardio is key. Strength training helped me build lean muscle, which is essential for boosting metabolism and shaping your body as the weight comes off. Cardio, whether it was cycling, elliptical, or brisk walking, helped with overall cardiovascular health and calorie burn. Finding a routine you enjoy is critical for long-term adherence. Changing my relationship with food was perhaps the biggest transformation. It wasn't just about eating less; it was about eating smarter and mindfully. I learned to prioritize protein, incorporate plenty of non-starchy vegetables, and limit processed foods and sugary drinks. Meal prepping became my best friend, ensuring I always had healthy, portion-controlled options readily available. For my PCOS girlies, this focus on whole foods, protein, and low-glycemic options was particularly beneficial. It helped stabilize my blood sugar, reduce cravings, and even improve some of my PCOS symptoms, like energy fluctuations and inflammation. Recognizing head hunger versus true physical hunger was a game-changer for me, helping me break old emotional eating patterns. Lastly, connecting with the VSG community and finding my tribe was invaluable. Sharing experiences, tips, and encouragement with others who truly understood the journey made me feel less alone. Whether online or in person, having that support system is incredible. And for those with PCOS, finding others who are navigating both conditions simultaneously can provide a unique layer of understanding and practical advice. Remember, this journey is yours, and while it will have its ups and downs, every step forward is a victory. You’ve got this!
