Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪

These gluten free chocolate chip cookies are easy to make. Want to try them out? Here's the recipe:

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

Prep: 20 minutes 

Baking time: 12-15 minutes

Yields: 24-28 cookies

Ingredients:

1 egg

⅔ cup of brown sugar

⅓ cup of white sugar

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup of melted butter

1 ½ cups of gluten free all purpose flour

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Method: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

Get out all your ingredients and a cookie sheet. I use a stone and line it with unbleached parchment paper. 

Start by melting your butter and once it has melted, set aside to cool a bit. 

Mix together the egg, brown sugar, white sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. 

Mix in the butter. Once mixed well, add in the flour. 

Mix in the chocolate chips and place the cookie batter in the freezer for 10 minutes. You can clean up while you wait!

Remove the cookie batter from the freezer and scoop out a generous tablespoon of cookie batter and roll into a ball. Place them about ½-1 inch apart. 

Place in the oven and bake for 12 minutes. You can check them at this time and see if you want to bake them for a couple more minutes. Once they look golden brown they are ready to come out. 

Set aside to cool. 

I make these about once a week. Depending on your preference you can bake these a little longer to make them crunchier. I put mine in a silicone bag once cooled and keep in the fridge.
