Former Athlete | Bryce & Chad
Gotta remind him sometimes
Hey everyone! I’ve noticed a lot of you are curious about my husband, and I’m so happy to share a little more about the amazing man in my life, Chad Hansen. Yes, he’s a professional athlete, and honestly, it’s one of the things that makes our life together so exciting and unique! It’s not every day you get to share your home with someone who dedicates their life to their sport, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We often get asked how we met or what our life is like, especially with both of us having such a strong athletic background. While Chad is currently in the professional spotlight, I sometimes have to remind my professional athlete husband that I played D1 soccer! It always gets a chuckle out of him, but it's true! My time as a D1 soccer player shaped so much of who I am today – the discipline, the teamwork, the sheer grit. Those experiences truly gave me a unique perspective and understanding of the dedication it takes to be at the top of your game, which helps me understand Chad's world so well. Our shared athletic past means there's a certain competitive spirit that runs through our relationship, but it's always in good fun. Whether it’s a friendly game of ping-pong or just debating who’s faster, there’s an unspoken understanding of the drive we both possess. It’s comforting to have a partner who truly gets the highs and lows of an athletic career, someone who understands the sacrifices and the triumphs. That support system is invaluable, especially for a professional athlete like Chad. Living with a 'pro' also means our days can be quite structured around training schedules, travel, and recovery. But we’ve learned to navigate it all, finding joy in the small moments and making sure we carve out quality time together. It’s about building a life that supports both our individual passions and our life as a couple. I love cheering him on from the stands, and he’s my biggest fan in everything I do, even if it’s just my latest DIY project! For anyone in a relationship with an athlete, or if you yourself have a strong athletic past, you know that dynamic can be incredibly rich and rewarding. It's about mutual respect for each other's journeys and celebrating every victory, big or small. Our life isn't always glamorous, but it's authentic, filled with laughter, and sometimes, a gentle reminder that an old D1 soccer player can still hold her own! So, next time you see Chad, remember there's a D1 soccer player cheering him on, always ready to playfully challenge him to a sprint!
