I started my mini twists journey about a month ago, and I’ve noticed some exciting changes in both my hair growth and overall hair health. Mini twists are not only stylish but also a protective hairstyle that helps retain length by minimizing manipulation and breakage. One of the things I’ve learned is that maintaining moisture is crucial; I make sure to regularly spritz my twists with a water-based leave-in conditioner and seal in that moisture with natural oils like coconut or jojoba oil. Another great benefit I've experienced is less daily hair manipulation, which means reduced shedding and healthier ends. To keep my scalp healthy, I gently massage it with essential oils like peppermint and tea tree, which help stimulate blood flow and promote hair growth while preventing dryness and itching. Don’t forget regular cleansing – I use a diluted shampoo to avoid buildup without drying out my twists. I also protect my hair at night with a satin bonnet or pillowcase to reduce friction and maintain the twists’ neat appearance. If you’re considering mini twists, prepare for the initial installation time but know the results are rewarding. This style is versatile, allowing for creative looks while supporting your natural growth journey. Stay patient and consistent with your care routine, and your hair will thank you with healthy growth and beautiful twists!
