There is significance in each day.
It’s easy sometimes to get caught up in just trying to get through the day. And God with give us strength to make it through. But instead of just trying to pass the time, let’s ask Him for the significance of today—what is He calling us to do or see or understand today that accomplishes His good will. Because if we are alive today, there is a reason for it.
Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12)

In my personal experience, finding significance in each day transforms how I approach life’s challenges and opportunities. Rather than rushing through tasks or merely waiting for the next big moment, pausing to reflect on what God might be calling me to do helps infuse meaning into even the smallest actions. For example, a simple act of kindness or choosing patience in a difficult situation can become a purposeful moment aligned with God’s will. I often turn to Psalm 90:12 — "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" — as a reminder to be mindful of time’s value. This verse encourages me to seek wisdom actively by being intentional about my daily choices. It’s a practice that’s gradually deepened my spiritual growth and perspective, reminding me that each day is a gift with its own unique role in my journey. From talking with friends who share similar faith reflections, many find that asking for clarity on their daily purpose renews their hope and strengthens their resilience. Even on challenging days, this awareness provides comfort and direction. Incorporating short daily devotions, journaling, or prayer helps sustain this mindset. Ultimately, embracing the significance in each day means trusting that life’s reasons unfold progressively, often in ways we don’t immediately see. Taking time to listen, observe, and embrace God’s purpose can reveal new perspectives and opportunities. This daily practice fosters a heart of wisdom and a hopeful outlook rooted in faith, encouraging us to live with intention and gratitude every single day.
