Things I've learned over the years as a 26 yr old.

So, as a 26 year old... Being young, we look at the grownups and see and think that their life is fun and not realizing when they were young, they face some trails and obstacles that mode them into the person that they are today.

so as I got into my 20s, I noticed there was a change within me, but before I use to want to fit in with the crowd.. trying to stay up with the latest trends... staying around the " cool" people. But it definitely wasn't a good fit for me.. so I had to learn how to cut the " wanting to fit in" idea out and learn to be fine with me and my personality.

I' ll admit that at first, it was strange feeling isolated because I didn't know me.. what I like.. what I prefer... my likes and dislikes... until I learned to love me. And that was by just being with myself.

* Key points That helped me*

● Type of music I related to most ( R&B ) and soul

and a lot of spiritual songs helped boost that.

● I watched girls my age. That gave me tips on being in your younger 20s and what not to expect and how the world makes u feel like u have to do everything before you turn a certain age. P.s. Slow✨💌 Brand:@Slow down and do everything at a time but at a good speed.

● Meditation helped me , I would do a 5 to 10 minute one , & it helped my brain slow down and reprogress everything.👍Why I like it.

● AND obviously, before any of these things BUILDING a RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD... reading the Bible... reading about faith, believing, struggles, loving self typa books... And being a modern woman.. So that's how I knew what fashion style I like... what food I prefer. etc.

And also... Being intune with God in nature like outback.. on your porch.. in the library... at a park on a nice solid area at the park, esp underneath the tree. These are how I learned to be patient. you'll make mistakes, but you'll get to a point where a lot of " people pleasing" won't be such a priority, and also a lot of things that people do.. Rather, it's family or a close friend that gets you " tight" won't be able to do that. cause you found love and peace within yourself and your love for God. #selresources

... Read moreAt 26, navigating young adulthood can be challenging, yet profoundly rewarding. Embracing who you are, rather than conforming to societal expectations, is essential for personal growth. Learning to love yourself and understanding your preferences can lead to a more fulfilling life. Music often plays a pivotal role in this journey, with genres like R&B and soul resonating deeply for emotional connection and healing. Additionally, meditation can be a powerful tool to find clarity, enabling you to slow down and process your thoughts and experiences effectively. Taking time for yourself, away from the pressures of a fast-paced world, can foster self-discovery and acceptance, paving the way for a balanced life. Building a spiritual connection, perhaps through faith or nature, offers peace and strengthens resilience amid life's uncertainties. Surrounding yourself with supportive influences, such as uplifting stories or friends who inspire you, can motivate you to create your personal path. The experiences and reflections gathered during these years are invaluable as they help shape your identity and guide you towards living life on your terms. Remember to embrace your journey—it's unique, just like you.
