how I stayed consistent w/my 2024 health goals✨🤍

We’re halfway through 2024, which is unbelievable!! I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made so far on my 2024 health and fitness goals—I’ve lost about 15 pounds and gotten into the best shape of my life.

Before now, I’ve never actually stuck to my new year’s goals. I thought I’d share what I’ve learned and what I’ve done differently.

I think mid year is the perfect time to reset, set new goals, and start fresh!! If you want to make the last 6 months of this year count, I hope these tips will be helpful 🫶🏼

1. This year, I only set ONE health goal. Having too many goals makes it difficult to focus. In previous years, I would set 5-6 health goals and end up accomplishing nothing because it was overwhelming. I have a backlog of goals I want to come back to in the future, but this year I decided to focus all my energy on my fat loss goal. I’ve been able to prioritize it and stay focused.

2. I created a PLAN. Grace Beverly always says that a goal without a plan is just a wish. I totally agree! I outlined all the steps I needed to take to help me reach my fat loss goal (exercise, steps, nutrition, hydration, sleep, etc) and found a way to make those habits a part of my daily and weekly routines. Without plans and systems in place to get the work done, it becomes nearly impossible to achieve our goals.

3. I got clear on my WHY. I’m a huge believer that if we don’t have a strong reason behind a goal, it’s going to be very hard to stick to. This goal means a lot to me, and that’s why I chose it. I wanted to push myself, prove to myself that I could do it, and share my journey on my social media to help empower others who want to do the same thing. When things get tough, I always look back on my why and it helps me stay on track.
