Be honest, is appearing “put together” important?
For me, I’ve learned I don’t always need to appear like I’ve got it all together. Makeup done, hair done, clothes perfectly matched, the whole get up.
Don’t get me wrong, I feel like a bombshell when I do. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
But I started noticing if I didn’t put makeup on, or have my hair done, I’d mentally feel way less confident. And I knew I had to change that.
I’m still in the process of learning how to be confident no matter how I look, but after a while of purposely not doing makeup and not having my hair straightened or curled (or done in any way lol), I feel like I’ve learned to appreciate looking a bit more natural, and I feel comfortable in my own skin. Plus, it has kind of felt freeing!
Truthfully, my people still love me just the same when I appear not put together lol. I am still just as loved and important. And like I said, there’s a certain confidence that comes with not looking like you’ve got it all together if that makes sense lol!
