What I Bought & How I Used it 🥰😍🍿

So hear me out!

Yes I absolutely could have just bought snacks in the airport buuuttt this is sooo much more fun and who is trying to pay airport prices for snacks ??? Not me !

Plus I obviously won’t eat all of this in one ride so this is great to snack on throughout my trip. I put wrap around the gold fish and cookies but I plan to crush the gummies quick.

The gummies are smart sweets and sooo yum !

How would you put together your airport snack box? Or what would you add ?

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my basic airport snack box, but let's dive deeper into making yours truly epic and worry-free! I totally get it, sometimes people think it's too much effort, but trust me, it's a game-changer for long travel days. First off, finding the perfect multi-compartment snack box is key. Mine has those handy white inserts, which are amazing for keeping things separate and preventing squishing. Nobody wants crushed cookies or squashed gummies! When I'm planning my snacks, I always think about variety. Beyond my usual favorites like those delicious Smart Sweets gummy candies and savory cheese crackers, I love to mix it up. For a bit more substance, I often add some protein-packed options. Think individually wrapped nuts (almonds or cashews are great!), beef jerky, or even some pre-portioned protein balls I make at home. These are fantastic for staving off hunger between meals and keeping energy levels up. And don't forget the fiber! Small, sturdy fruits like grapes or apple slices (toss them in a little lemon juice to prevent browning) are perfect. Just remember, fresh fruit needs to be eaten or declared if you're crossing international borders. When it comes to those sweet cravings, besides the chocolate bars and small wrapped chocolates I usually include, sometimes I'll swap in some shortbread cookies or even a small bag of mini stroopwafels. They're a lovely treat with a cup of coffee on the plane. Now, for packing hacks! To keep things fresh, I sometimes use small silicone dividers within my compartments for things like cut veggies or berries. For highly perishable items, a small, soft-sided insulated bag with a mini ice pack can work wonders, especially if you have a longer layover. Just ensure your ice pack is completely frozen solid when going through security. If it's slushy, it counts as a liquid! Speaking of security, know your limits! Most solid foods are fine, but liquids, gels, and aerosols are subject to the 3-1-1 rule. So, pack your dips or yogurts in travel-sized containers if you absolutely need them, or better yet, buy them after security. My rule of thumb is: if it's spreadable or pourable, it probably counts as a liquid. The best part about curating your own travel snacks? You save so much money, avoid questionable airport food, and get to enjoy exactly what you want. It truly elevates the whole travel experience. What are some of your favorite unexpected additions to your airport snack box?
