Hormonal changes are normal and sometimes when we’re first time mom, we feel alone because nobody talks about these things and the only person we really ever talk to is our doctors and they can be hard to get a hold of some days or maybe you don’t even wanna mention it to that because you think it’s silly.

I’m here to normalize it and tell you to steal your hubby’s deodorant.

... Read morePregnancy can be full of surprises, and while most are anticipated, some symptoms can catch you off guard. One symptom that many women experience but seldom discuss is changes in body odor due to hormonal fluctuations. These changes may lead you to feel a bit self-conscious, yet it's important to understand that they are completely normal. During pregnancy, the body undergoes significant metamorphoses, and these hormonal shifts can increase sweat production and alter body chemistry, leading to unexpected smells. It’s common for expecting mothers to notice they require a stronger deodorant or to rely on unconventional solutions, such as using partner's products when conventional ones don't seem to work. Aside from odors, many women report changes in their skin, mood swings, and even unexpected food cravings. Each pregnancy can present unique challenges, but knowing you're not alone can alleviate some stress. Engaging with communities, either online or in-person, can provide an excellent support system for sharing these experiences. It’s crucial to talk about these topics openly to help normalize the journey of pregnancy, so moms-to-be can navigate their expectations with greater confidence. If you're feeling unsure or uneasy regarding any symptoms, consider discussing them with your healthcare provider. They can offer personalized advice and reassurance on what to expect during this significant life phase. Remember, many aspects of pregnancy are common yet rarely discussed—sharing your experiences can help others feel less isolated in their journeys!
