... Read moreWhen I started preparing for the CELPIP Speaking test, I quickly realized that having a well-planned approach made a huge difference. One tip I found especially useful was to build a bank of flexible functional phrases that could be adapted to different prompts. This helped me avoid hesitations and made my responses sound more fluent and natural. Another key to success was creating my own templates for common speaking tasks. For example, in tasks where I had to decline or explain an issue, I used a polite template that was clear and respectful. This gave me confidence that I could stay organized and coherent even under time pressure. I also paid close attention to grammar, especially tenses and subject-verb agreement, because errors in these areas can lower your score quickly. Practicing with PrepAmigo’s AI scoring and mock tests helped me identify and correct these mistakes early on. One unexpected tip was to choose a weekday test date if possible since test centers tend to be quieter, allowing me to stay more focused. Speaking clearly with enough tone variation rather than rushing helped me avoid sounding robotic and made my answers more engaging. Finally, I learned the importance of adding context and relatable details to my answers to make them richer. Instead of giving generic responses, I shared personal examples such as budgeting tips when discussing furnishing an apartment. These realistic details helped make my answers more compelling. Overall, PrepAmigo’s courses and practice tools gave me structured guidance and feedback that proved invaluable in reaching my goal score. I would definitely recommend customizing your preparation to focus on building flexible language tools, grammatical accuracy, natural delivery, and personalization to succeed on the CELPIP Speaking test.
