40 lbs Down in 6 Months – Here’s What I Learned! 🫶

In the beginning, the weight melted off FAST—like, really fast. I cut my calories nearly in half and the scale moved quickly. But after a little research (and some soul-searching), I realized I was risking muscle loss and loose skin. So I added calories back in—focusing on protein, strength training, and being smart about it.

Now I’m just 3 lbs away from my goal weight of 155 lbs, but I’m in no rush. My focus now?

Toning up. Gaining lean muscle. Staying consistent.

Here’s the thing—no one talks enough about what comes after weight loss. You either get lucky with no loose skin… or you’re told surgery is your only option.

I don’t believe that.

I’m on a mission to prove to myself (and maybe others) that with the right habits, patience, and a whole lot of consistency—you can sculpt the body you want naturally.

If that’s something you’re into, feel free to follow and cheer a sister on—lol!

The next chapter is just getting started.

Integrating strength training is essential not only for preserving muscle but also for enhancing metabolism. Protein plays a vital role in muscle recovery and growth, which is crucial during weight loss. Many individuals encounter challenges with loose skin post-weight loss, and there are methods to minimize this risk. Staying adequately hydrated, nourishing your skin with nutrients, and considering gradual weight loss are key strategies. Furthermore, patience is paramount—it's important to set realistic goals and maintain a balanced lifestyle. Following your fitness journey can be motivating and lead to self-discovery, helping you develop healthy habits that last a lifetime. Whether you're aiming for weight loss, toning up, or simply adopting a healthier way of living, knowledge and consistency will pave the way to success. This journey is not just about numbers on a scale, but about how you feel inside and out.
