Shrimp Fried Rice
Simple recipe. Eye ball the recip.
Making shrimp fried rice at home can be surprisingly easy and delicious, especially when you use convenient ingredients like steamable peas and carrots. From my experience, adding frozen vegetables not only saves time but also locks in freshness and nutrients. When cooking the shrimp, use medium-high heat to get a nice sear without overcooking. I usually eyeball the soy sauce and seasoning to suit my taste, but starting with about 1 to 2 tablespoons of soy sauce per serving is a good baseline. For the rice, leftover chilled rice works best as it prevents clumping and gives that perfect fried texture. You can also customize this dish by throwing in chopped green onions, garlic, or scrambled eggs for extra flavor and protein. Overall, shrimp fried rice is a versatile dish that’s quick to prepare and ideal for a satisfying weeknight dinner.
