Limited time Taste of Hakka menu at Song Yue

Just visited @songyue.sg for their Taste of Hakka 客家之味 menu available till 31 Dec 2025 and OMG — this entire spread feels like stepping into someone’s Hakka family kitchen. Perfect for gatherings because every dish is comfort food at its best. 🤍✨

Here’s what we tried and enjoyed:

🥢 Traditional Hakka Salt-Baked Chicken

古早味客家盐焗鸡

Tender, juicy, and infused with that rustic salted aroma! Satisfying.

🥢 Wok-Fried Abacus Beads 客家算盘子

Soft, chewy “算盘子” with smoky wok hei.

🥢 Lobster in Superior Broth with Hakka Sweet Rice Wine 客家黄酒龙虾煲

Sweet, elegant broth + fresh lobster = luxurious comfort in a bowl.

🥢 Hakka Stir-Fry with Pork Belly and Chives

客家韭菜豆干小炒

Crunchy, savoury, and fragrant — the perfect side dish to keep the rice coming.

🥢 Grandpa’s 3-Hour Slow Braised Pork Belly with Cabbage & Dried Bamboo Shoot

阿公3小时焖笋干白菜封肉

Melt-in-your-mouth pork belly with deep, nostalgic flavours. Legit tastes like a heritage recipe passed down for generations.

🥢 Taiwanese Mee Sua in Superior White Pepper Broth with sliced pork fillet, meatballs and pig's stomach  胡椒猪三宝台式面线汤

Slurpy, peppery, and so warming. Meatballs are so good!

🍵Taiwan High-Mountain Tea台湾高山茶

🍵Jin Xuan Tea 金萱茶

Spend $138++ (members) or $168++ (public) with at least 1 Hakka dish to receive a Limited Edition Song Yue Tote Bag.

We came as a group and every dish turned into a “try this, you MUST try this” moment. Already planning to come back! @songyue.sg is perfect for gatherings, family meals, or festive celebrations. Book your table today.

... Read moreIf you’re a fan of authentic Hakka cuisine or looking to try something new during your next meal out, Song Yue’s Taste of Hakka menu is truly a must-visit. The menu showcases classic dishes crafted with time-honored recipes and quality ingredients, giving you a genuine taste of Hakka heritage in Singapore. One dish that stood out is the Grandpa’s 3-Hour Slow Braised Pork Belly with Cabbage & Dried Bamboo Shoot—its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich flavors feel like a treasured family recipe passed down through generations. Pairing such traditional dishes with Taiwanese Jin Xuan Tea brings out the comforting balance unique to this cuisine. I also loved the Wok-Fried Abacus Beads; their chewy texture combined with the smoky wok hei left a memorable impression. The Lobster in Superior Broth with Hakka Sweet Rice Wine is a luxurious bowl that’s both elegant and satisfying. The setting at Leisure Park Kallang suits gatherings well, making it ideal for Chinese New Year celebrations or casual family meals. Plus, with a spend of $138++ or more on Hakka dishes, you get a Limited Edition Song Yue Tote Bag—a nice little bonus! If you’re curious about other Hakka menus around Singapore, like those at Hakka Yu @ Jem or Parkway, visiting Song Yue offers a unique take on traditional Taiwanese Hakka flavors. Booking in advance is recommended as this limited-time menu runs only until 31 Dec 2025. Overall, my experience was wonderful and I’m already looking forward to my next visit to enjoy more comforting Hakka dishes that feel like home-cooked meals.

🏨 Yunnan Solo Trip — Hotel Reviews & Ratings
1️⃣ Kunming Kai Wah Plaza Hotel | ⭐️ 9/10 Booked this cause it is super near the highspeed railway station (just down the road).. The room was very spacious and clean, though the interior felt a little dated. Still a solid choice for convenience, especially if you have early trains to catch. 2️

TLDR: 9/10, will eat again.
“I don't want otw, I want to see people” was the anthem of the Hakka Yu’s hosts. The queue seems long but moves quickly, dishes were served promptly. Everyone needs to be there before they will sit you. The food is pretty comforting though some dishes like the stir fry pork is a lil oil
