Wow, what a whirlwind of a semester! Reading back through my own recap brought so many feelings flooding back. It’s crazy to think we're more than halfway through college now. For anyone else navigating their junior year, or just looking for some inspiration to make the most of their campus life, I wanted to share a deeper dive into some of the moments that truly defined my fall semester. One of the biggest highlights for me was really diving deep into my major. I spent so much time in editing classes, learning the ins and outs of software like DaVinci Resolve. There were countless hours behind a computer monitor, tweaking clips and timelines, sometimes feeling totally overwhelmed. I even got to experience a studio production class, seeing cameras and lighting equipment up close and personal. Directing a show from a live production switcher interface was intense, with multiple video feeds and scripts everywhere, but it taught me so much about teamwork and quick thinking. Yes, there were moments where I felt like I was crying over school – we've all been there, right? But pushing through those challenges made the successes, like seeing a finished project, so much sweeter. It’s all part of the growth, and honestly, those late nights in the studio with friends are memories I wouldn't trade. Beyond academics, the social scene was buzzing! Our Halloweekend was absolutely epic. Dressing up in bunny and cat outfits with my best girls and posing outdoors at night was so much fun. It's those spontaneous moments of laughter and connection that truly make college special. I also made some incredible new friends this semester! There's nothing quite like finding your people, the ones you can just be yourself with, whether we were smiling for group photos indoors or cheering at a concert or festival. And of course, you can't forget the classic college experience: getting ready for a football game! Mirror selfies in public restrooms, white crop tops, denim shorts, and red sneakers – it's all part of the tradition and the excitement. This semester also pushed me to try new things. I joined a club that focused on outdoor activities and found myself holding a frisbee-like object during one of our meetups. It might seem small, but stepping outside my comfort zone to explore new interests truly added another layer of richness to my junior year. It's about saying 'yes' to opportunities, even if they seem a little daunting at first. As I look ahead to my final semesters, I'm thinking about how to carry this momentum forward. My biggest takeaway from this junior year is that college isn't just about grades; it's about the entire experience – the academic rigor, the social adventures, and the personal discoveries. For anyone wondering how to be a successful college student, I'd say it’s a blend of dedication to your studies, actively seeking out new experiences, and cherishing the bonds you form. These really are the years for beautiful memories and immense growth. What a journey it continues to be! I'm so excited to see what the next semester brings and how much more I'll learn and grow before I graduate from college.
