New Personal Record 💪🏾💪🏾 135lbs
A lil back squat goes a long way #Lemon8Diary #fitnessjourney #motivationdaily #gymgirl
Hitting my new personal record of 135lbs on the back squat was such an incredible moment, and it really got me reflecting on how far I've come on my fitness journey! I know many of you might be wondering, 'how long does it actually take to see results at the gym?' And honestly, it's a question I've asked myself countless times. From my own experience, visible changes in strength and body composition don't happen overnight. It’s a marathon, not a sprint! For strength gains like my recent PR of 135lbs, it takes consistent effort, proper form, and progressive overload. When I first started, even the empty barbell felt heavy! I focused intently on learning the movement, engaging the right muscles, and building a strong foundation with lighter weights before gradually adding more. I'd say I started seeing noticeable strength increases within a few months, making lifts that once felt impossible suddenly achievable. However, true 'transformation' – both in my body and my capabilities – has been a journey of several months to a year, and it's still ongoing! Patience really is key. If you're looking for a 'before and after workouts' story, consider this: my 'before' was often hesitant, unsure of my form, and lifting much lighter. My 'after' is confident, strong, and celebrating milestones like this 135lbs squat. It's not just about the weight on the bar; it's about the mental shift, the increased energy throughout my day, and the way my clothes fit differently. Tracking my workouts in a journal, taking progress photos (even if just for myself!), and occasionally measuring have been absolutely essential to recognizing these gradual 'squat transformation' steps. Sometimes, when you see yourself every single day, it's incredibly hard to notice the small, incremental changes until you look back at where you started. That's why documentation is so powerful! For anyone embarking on their own 'body transformation, female' or otherwise, my biggest piece of advice is that consistency is your best friend. Don't get discouraged if you don't see drastic changes in a few weeks. Focus on showing up, challenging yourself safely, and celebrating every small victory – whether it's an extra rep, a cleaner form, or a new personal record like my PR 135lbs. Beyond just lifting, remember that nutrition plays a massive role. Fuel your body with good, whole foods to support muscle growth and recovery. Get enough rest, as that’s when your muscles repair and grow stronger. And most importantly, enjoy the process! Find activities you love, set realistic goals, and appreciate your body for what it can do. The journey itself is just as rewarding as the destination. Keep pushing, you've got this!
