Alaska summer with kids

I lived in Alaska my whole life and I think it’s a great state to raise kids if you’re gonna have an outdoor lifestyle. We’ve gone up to a bunch of places already this summer like the zoo Whittier at Luna Lake. We’ve been a pass. We’ve been all the way through Campbell airstrip Road we try to go on a walk or go to the park every day.We have a very short summer season so we try to make the most of it we can some days it’s hard when it’s pouring out rain but that’s why you buy snow suits and rain suits.#AskLemon8 #summerwithkids #lemon8challenge

... Read moreAlaska is a treasure trove of summer adventures for families, offering unique experiences that foster a love of the outdoors in children. Popular activities include visiting the Alaska Zoo, where kids can learn about local wildlife, as well as exploring beautiful spots like Whittier and Luna Lake. The summer season, although short, is perfect for family hikes, nature walks, and picnics in parks like Campbell Airstrip Park. It's essential to embrace all weather conditions; investing in quality rain suits and snow gear allows families to enjoy outdoor activities even on rainy days. For those visiting Alaska, wilderness exploration isn't limited to just parks; families can partake in fun events such as community festivals, farmer's markets, and educational programs designed for children. Participating in activities can foster a stronger bond with nature and nurture an adventurous spirit within kids. Outdoor family bonding experiences, such as fishing, kayaking, or camping, are also highly recommended. Remember, the key to a fun-filled Alaskan summer is flexibility and readiness to adapt to the weather—each unique day presents new memories waiting to be made.
