Day 15- Trust in the Lord
Hi friends! Here is day 15 of the Trusting God Challenge.
If you have an empty journal/notebook grab that for the month to write out scriptures and prayers.
Each day there will be a task to complete that will help you in letting go of fear/control and trusting God.
I pray this challenge helps me and you to draw closer to the Lord.

It's amazing how often I find myself wanting to send a message to a friend or loved one, just to let them know I'm thinking of them and praying for them. Sometimes, finding the right words can be tough, right? My Trusting God Challenge has actually given me so much clarity and inspiration in this area. On Day 15, as I reflected on scriptures like 1 John 5:14 – knowing that 'if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us' – it really hit me how powerful even a simple message of prayer can be. It’s not about grand eloquent speeches; it’s about genuine connection and faith. The beautiful autumn landscape in my image, with its serene lake and colorful trees, often reminds me of the peace that comes from this deep trust in God. When I sit down to write a prayer for someone, I often start by recalling my own journey of trusting God. What comforts me when I'm feeling overwhelmed? What scriptures bring me peace? These personal reflections become the foundation for the messages I send. I often think about the image's reflection on God hearing our prayers, and it strengthens my resolve to offer heartfelt words. For instance, when a friend is going through a tough time, instead of just saying 'I'll pray for you,' I try to personalize it. I might think, 'Lord, just as you've shown me how to let go of fear, please grant [Friend's Name] peace and strength in this moment.' Then I might share a short, heartfelt version of that sentiment with them, maybe even adding a relevant verse like 'The Lord is my strength and my shield' (Psalm 28:7) if it feels right. This practice, much like writing out my daily prayers, makes the intention more tangible and personal. I've learned that the beauty of 'thinking and praying for you' isn't just in the words, but in the sincerity. When we truly believe that God hears our prayers, as 1 John 5:14 reminds us, that faith shines through our messages. It's like sending a little piece of our own trust and hope their way, a spiritual hug when they need it most. Creating these little notes, whether it's a quick text or a handwritten card, doesn't need to be complicated. Sometimes it's as simple as, 'Just wanted to let you know you're on my heart today and I'm lifting you up in prayer for peace and guidance.' The key is that it comes from a place of genuine care, fostered by our own closeness to God. This daily challenge, with its focus on letting go of fear and control, actually empowers me to be a better source of comfort for others. My challenge has taught me that the deeper my own trust in God, the more easily I can extend that comfort to others. It’s a wonderful cycle – as I draw closer to the Lord, I feel more equipped to support my community with thoughtful, prayerful messages. It really makes a difference to know someone is genuinely thinking of you and praying on your behalf, especially when those words are inspired by a personal journey of faith. So, next time you're looking for that perfect 'thinking and praying for you' quote, remember that your own heart, guided by faith and scripture, is the best source. Reflect on your own journey, write out your prayers, just like I'm doing in my challenge, and let God's peace flow through you to those you care about. It’s a beautiful way to share His love and comfort.
