Day 13- Steadfast in the Lord

Hi friends!

Here is day 13 of the Steadfast in the Lord Challenge!

If you have an empty journal/notebook grab that for the month to write out scriptures and prayers. Each day there will be a task to complete that will help you to be focused on the Lord and not on the situation or problems you might be facing. I pray this challenge helps me and you to keep the faith and grow in Christ.

... Read moreHi friends! You know how sometimes life just gets so busy, and it's easy to feel a bit lost or overwhelmed? That's exactly why I started this 'Steadfast in the Lord' challenge, and I wanted to share a bit more about how it’s truly transforming my daily walk and helping me connect with God on a deeper level. One of the biggest questions I've had on my heart lately is, "Who does God say I am?" This challenge, particularly diving into scriptures like Jeremiah 29:13, has been incredibly revealing. It’s not just about reading a verse; it’s about letting it sink in and allowing God to speak into your identity. As the challenge encourages, taking time to reflect on what truly divides my heart and what's pulling me away from Him helps clarify my purpose. It reminds me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, called for a unique purpose, much like Esther 4:14 reminds us we might be here "for such a time as this." The '30 day Challenge' has really emphasized the importance of daily action. We're encouraged to seek the Lord about what’s taking us away from Him daily and then make a decision to actually fast from that thing. It could be for a week, a month, or even just a few hours each day. This practice of 'fasting from that thing' isn't just about deprivation; it's about making space for God, allowing Him to fill those voids and truly become steadfast in Him. I've found it creates a beautiful spiritual spring season in my heart, where new growth and 'religious spring blessings' start to blossom. During this challenge, I’ve also been writing out scriptures and prayers in my journal. This practice reminds me of Habakkuk 2:1-3, where we're told to "write the vision and make it plain." It helps solidify God’s promises in my mind and heart, making my prayers more intentional. Whether it’s a 'blessing prayer for my husband' or a simple gratitude prayer, having it written down makes it a tangible part of my spiritual journey. This daily dedication strengthens my faith, allowing me to be a better sister in Christ to others, ready to share encouraging words or even a 'happy birthday sister in Christ bible verse' when the moment calls for it. While we focused on Jeremiah 29:13 (God’s plans for hope and a future), I've also been thinking about other powerful verses that underscore God's restorative nature, like Jeremiah 30:13, which speaks of an incurable wound but also God's promise to restore health and heal. It's a beautiful complement, showing that even when things seem impossible, God has a plan for healing and renewal. Embracing these scriptural truths feels like a 'new year' for my spirit, perhaps not literally the 'Abib new year,' but a personal season of spiritual rebirth and renewed commitment. The Lord truly will help you in this area, just as the challenge promises!
