HOW TO LOSE 8 LBS IN A MONTH ✨

Here are some easy tips to help you lose 8 pounds in a month ~

1: eat meals to FUEL your body ~ this means incorporating a variety of fruits, vegetables and upping your protein to help build muscle and keep you full longer

2: daily movement ~ prioritize getting in 10K steps daily and establish a workout routine that is realistic for you and your goals

3: stay hydrated ~ a lot of the times when we think we’re hungry, we’re actually dehydrated. Aim to drink a gallon of water daily

4: get 7-9 hours of good, quality sleep ~ If possible, I recommend using some type of sleep tracker to help you monitor your sleep (ex: health watch, health ring, etc). Getting good quality sleep is so important for your weight loss goals and overall wellbeing!

... Read moreIt's incredible what a month of consistent effort can do for your health and confidence! When I committed to losing 8 pounds in a month, I knew I needed a sustainable approach, not just a quick fix. Here's a deeper dive into the strategies that truly made a difference for me, going beyond just the basics. First, let's really talk about how to eat well, balanced meals & up your protein!!!! It’s not just about cutting calories, but truly nourishing your body. For me, this meant focusing on whole, unprocessed foods. Instead of just “eating protein,” I made sure every meal had a significant source: lean chicken or fish, eggs, lentils, or Greek yogurt. This kept me feeling full and satisfied, which drastically reduced my cravings for unhealthy snacks. I also learned to fill half my plate with colorful vegetables at every meal, ensuring I got plenty of fiber and nutrients without a lot of extra calories. Meal prepping became my secret weapon; on Sundays, I'd cook a big batch of quinoa, roast some veggies, and grill chicken so I always had healthy options ready. This prevented me from grabbing takeout when I was busy or tired. Next, prioritize daily movement and establish a realistic workout routine. The idea of 10,000 steps might seem daunting, but I found ways to weave it into my day effortlessly. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking further away from the store, and going for a 20-minute walk during my lunch break added up quickly. Beyond steps, finding a workout routine that I enjoyed was key. I started with simple bodyweight exercises at home for 20-30 minutes, 3-4 times a week. It wasn't about pushing myself to exhaustion, but about building consistency. As I got stronger, I gradually incorporated light weights. Remember, a realistic routine you stick with is far better than an intense one you quit after a week. It's truly a guide to losing 8 lbs in a month when you combine these efforts. Third, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. This one was a game-changer for me. I used to confuse thirst with hunger all the time! Aiming for a gallon of water daily sounds like a lot, but splitting it into smaller goals throughout the day made it manageable. I invested in a large, reusable water bottle and kept it with me constantly. Setting hourly reminders on my phone also helped. Beyond curbing false hunger pangs, proper hydration boosted my energy levels, improved my skin, and even helped my metabolism feel more active. It’s a simple habit that yields huge benefits. Finally, aim for 7-9 hours of sleep utilize a sleep tracker, if possible. This was often overlooked in my past weight loss attempts, but it's incredibly important. When I wasn't getting enough quality sleep, I noticed I was hungrier, craved sugary foods more, and had less energy for my workouts. My sleep tracker (a smart watch in my case) helped me understand my sleep patterns and make small adjustments, like going to bed at the same time every night and creating a relaxing bedtime routine. Dimming the lights an hour before bed and avoiding screens made a significant difference. Quality sleep isn't just about feeling rested; it's crucial for hormone regulation, which directly impacts hunger and fat storage. Taking sleep seriously truly supports your overall wellbeing and weight loss goals.
