In my experience of losing over 80 lbs, I incorporated a variety of nutritious foods that not only supported my calorie deficit but also kept my meals exciting. One of my go-to meals was a delicious burrito bowl packed with grilled chicken, fajitas, and vegetables, providing a satisfying blend of protein and fiber. I often prepared low-calorie pizzas using a low-carb tortilla topped with my favorite ingredients, allowing me to indulge without breaking my diet. I also discovered the joys of air frying; cod loins and russet potatoes became staples in my diet, offering crispy textures with minimal fats using zero-calorie sprays. For an extra protein boost, I swapped sour cream with plain Greek yogurt, enhancing flavor without the extra calories. Another strategy that worked well was combining white rice with cauliflower rice for increased volume without significantly raising calorie intake. High-protein meals and snacks, such as turkey sausage with egg whites, became habitual, fueling my day while keeping my hunger in check. It's essential to discover what works for your body while making these healthy changes, and I encourage you to experiment with different ingredients that you love. I try to eat 100-120g of protein a day & buying most things in bulk from Costco has helped SO MUCH! I also try to follow a 1:10 ratio of protein:cals as much as I can! So if something has 200 cals, it should have at least 20g protein. Another way to check is to drop the last number from the cal
