Being Whole

There’s a strange pressure now to constantly be seen.

To brand yourself. Perform yourself. Prove yourself.

But I think some of the most important parts of us are built quietly — long before recognition ever arrives.

This line came from that realization: “I was whole before I was found.”

Not perfect. Not finished.

But whole enough to keep building anyway.

... Read moreIn today’s fast-paced digital world, there’s immense pressure to always be visible, to constantly brand and prove ourselves to others. Yet, from my own experience, I’ve realized that true self-worth often develops in quiet moments, away from the spotlight. The quote “I was whole before I was found” resonates deeply because it speaks to the idea that our value isn’t determined by external recognition but by an internal sense of completeness. When I began my creative journey, I struggled with feelings of inadequacy and the need for validation. Over time, I learned that the most meaningful growth happens quietly within—long before anyone notices. This internal foundation allowed me to stay resilient and keep building, even when success or approval felt distant. Accepting that being “whole” doesn’t mean being perfect or finished is liberating. It invites us to embrace imperfection and continuous growth. By prioritizing our own process and self-acceptance, we cultivate a stronger sense of creative freedom and emotional well-being. For those feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to "perform" or be constantly seen, remember that your worth existed long before your audience did. Celebrate your creative process and personal journey for what it truly is—a unique expression of your whole self.

my whole life i defined consistency as perfection. if i slipped up, missed a day, made a mistake, then in my head i “broke my streak” and had to start all over again (which is super discouraging) but consistency isn’t doing everything exactly right every day. it’s about showing up to the table -
