30 soft - real talk

Holding myself accountable, self discipline, making excuses & being consistent is something I struggle hard with.

Working out and eating healthy is something I really try to strive for, but if there’s a few days I slack, I seem to fall 10 steps behind and can’t back into the routine for a few weeks.

Why? The thing that gets me going back to my workout routine is seeing other girls on social media working out, and how they’re doing it.

Then it’s like I suddenly get the urge to be healthier until a day comes where I slack.

So, I’m starting the 30 soft challenge for myself. If you’ve done, how did you hold yourself accountable? What did you do if you missed a day, or didn’t do something on your list? I need tips & motivation!

... Read moreThe 30 Soft Challenge has gained popularity as a way to promote accountability and foster healthier habits over a month-long journey. With an emphasis on discipline, the challenge typically encompasses workouts, balanced nutrition, hydration, rest, and self-care. For example, participants are encouraged to schedule workouts for at least 30 minutes daily, aiming for five days a week. Additionally, integrating walking can enhance overall fitness, targeting around 10,000 steps a day. Nutrition plays a critical role as well. Aiming for meals filled with lean proteins, healthy fats, and plenty of vegetables not only fuels your body but supports your goal of sustainable weight management. Drinking adequate water, approximately a gallon daily, coupled with limited cheat meals, helps maintain healthy eating habits. Sleep is another vital area, and committing to at least 8 hours of rest can significantly improve workout recovery. Many find that sharing progress photos and updates on social media bolsters motivation and accountability. If you slip up, remember, it's about progress, not perfection. Reflect on what you can learn from those setbacks and how to re-enter your routine stronger. By embracing the journey and celebrating small victories, you'll inspire others while staying committed to your health transformation.

The 10,000 steps each day isn’t soft IMO. That was a marketing ploy by Fitbit. A more reasonable amount would be 8,000 according to physicians. Put in some rest days to recover. You’ve got a good challenge.
