Stepping into the Rainforest Cafe at Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, Florida, truly feels like you're transported to an exotic jungle, right in the heart of South Florida! This themed restaurant has got to be one of the coolest I've ever experienced. From the moment you walk in, the decoration is just awesome – lush foliage, animated animals that come to life, and the most incredible rainfall and thunderstorms that happen every 30 minutes. It's such an immersive experience, making every meal an adventure, and it’s perfect for capturing some unique photos to remember your visit. I was so excited to check out their menu, especially after hearing so much about this iconic spot. The Rainforest Cafe at Sawgrass Mills has been a staple for nearly 30 years, and it's clear why. Their menu is extensive, offering a wide range of options and entrees that cater to all tastes. I was on the hunt for something truly delicious, and let me tell you, the food was fantastic! Their offerings truly stand out, making it one of the better barbecue rib spots we've been to, surprisingly. My absolute favorite was their Rasta Pasta – the flavors were just incredible and unlike anything I’ve had recently. I also tried the BBQ Bacon Burger, which was super delish and absolutely massive! And don't even get me started on the Korean Fried Chicken; it was a fantastic choice. For those looking for lighter options or unique flavors, I've heard amazing things about their Ancient Grain Bowl. While I personally went for some of their hearty classics this time, the Ancient Grain Bowl is definitely on my list for my next visit. It sounds like a fresh and flavorful option amidst all the other amazing choices. And speaking of amazing, you absolutely cannot leave without trying their desserts! The Rainforest Tsunami Cake, a 4-layer red velvet and chocolate cake with exploding chocolate candies, was one of the best desserts we had in a while. It's huge and perfect for sharing, a truly grand finale to an already wild dining experience. The gift shop in the front is also worth exploring, packed with fun souvenirs to remember your jungle adventure. Whether you're a local in Broward or just visiting Florida, the Rainforest Cafe offers more than just a meal; it's an entire experience. It's a place where you can celebrate special occasions or just enjoy a fun family outing, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest.
