Long Jing @ Suntec: Better here than China?? ๐คจ๐ค

Iโm in the midst of preparing to be a 2026 bride yayyy ๐ซถ But before that, let me update with some food post!
โ Queue โ
We went to try Long Jing at Suntec last weekend, and the queue was INSANEE. We queued since 5+ and pnly managed to enter around 7ishโฆ. about a 2h wait??
Ok but at 5ish we waited in the long line to queue and scan the QR code. Took about 15-20mins? Then we went off and explored Suntec. Theyโll notify you via Whatsapp and youโll have to return asap when its reaching your turn!
โ FOOD โ
Anywaaaaaays should you try it for yourself? Letโs see what I got first!
1. Roast chicken
The chicken was moist & flavourful. Honestly if youโre someone that prefers your food to be a tad bit saltier, you would defo enjoy this. As for meโฆ the first piece was okay, the next piece was starting to become a rice thief. But I guess thats why we have to order rice & their tea to soften the blow!

2. Vermicelli Prawn
If you like Nakhonโs vermicelli prawn claypot / other restaurantโs then you will definitely like this! Wouldnโt say the prawns are as fresh as Nakhonโs where its still in its shell but the onions & flavour profile was OP.

4. Cauliflower pot
I have nothing much to say hahahaha its rather standard. The pork inside was rather little & tiny lol but it was still good!
5. Dongpo Ribs
This was the HIGHLIGHT and thats why I saved the best for the last hahahaha. I love that the meat was tender and fell off the bone so easily.

Okay we tried the Black Tea & Long Jing Tea. Highly recommend the Long Jing Tea because its so light and complemented the heavy dishes. If you want to #budget and you are with your other half, just order one to share because they will give you a teapot and one cup.

Actually some of the menu items seem to be a bit different than the one I had in China but overall, I feel like the flavours here match the tastebuds of Singaporeans so defo give it a try.

Would I queue 3h again for this? Absolutely not lol.
But if you are in the area early? you could get a queue number and try to wait around for a bit.

Regarding the menu, I found that the dishes cater well to Singaporean tastes, which might differ from the Long Jing I had in China. The roast chicken is flavorful but leans towards a saltier profile, so pairing it with rice is recommended. The vermicelli prawn is delightful with its strong onion and flavor profile, though the prawns are not as fresh as some elsewhere. The cauliflower dish is quite standard, and the pork portion inside is minimal but suffices. The true highlight was the Dongpo ribs, with melt-in-your-mouth tender meat that truly lived up to its reputation. Also, don't miss their Long Jing Tea, which is light and balances out the richness of the dishes perfectly. If on a budget or dining as a couple, sharing a teapot is a great idea. Overall, Ling Jing at Suntec offers a worthy dining experience if you can handle the wait. Considering the crowd, planning your visit on less busy hours or weekdays may help avoid long queues. Comparing with its original outlet in China, the menu adapts to local preferences, providing a familiar yet unique experience.
