Long wait. Finally upgrade.

It is believed that many people who have used Windows should have a headache with Bluetooth headphones that often have fussy problems, such as often falling off, rarely getting stuck, difficult to connect, or very bad sounds, especially when calling or meeting online. If used on iOS, Android, or macOS, it will be more obvious because on those platforms it sounds much better and easier to use.

But most recently, Microsoft announced the good news that Windows 11 is about to make a big upgrade in Bluetooth audio with a new feature called Super Wideband Stereo (SWB) Bluetooth LE Audio. The key point is that it will solve the old problem of Bluetooth Classic, which used to force users to choose between good sounds like fun music, but not using the mic (A2DP) or using the mic, but the sound of waste and mono (HFP). In other words, they no longer have to choose half-medial sounds.

SWB Bluetooth LE Audio uses a new technology that overhauls the entire system, achieving two-way 32kHz stereo sound quality with a clearer mic. The voice is not as muffled as before, and it also supports Spatial Audio on Microsoft Teams for the first time. Anyone who likes to play games or meetings often should be able to experience the difference immediately because the sound will continue to sharpen even when switching to a chat mic.

Of course, users will need Bluetooth LE Audio-compatible headphones and updates to Windows 11 version 24H2 with the latest drivers, which Microsoft promises to release updates to existing PCs by the end of the year. Notebook or newer PCs released from late 2025 will support it out of the box at all. No further customization is required.
