Dell and HP acknowledged the blue screen problem, and BitLocker Loop was not caused by Windows 11.
In recent times, many Dell and HP computer users have encountered a blue screen (BSOD) problem, restarted themselves, or repeatedly logged into BitLocker Recovery pages, such that many parties understand that they are affected by Windows Update or Windows 11 bugs.

But most recently, both Dell and HP have come forward to confirm that the problem is not caused by Microsoft, but is caused by the manufacturer's own software and firmware. For Dell, it states that the problem is caused by Dell SupportAssist Remediation and Alienware SupportAssist Remediation version 5.5.16.0, which is part of the SupportAssist software installed with the machine.

After an update was released in late April, the software was found to be able to cause system-level errors, resulting in the machine displaying a BSOD screen and restarting itself every about 30 minutes.

Because the program runs behind the scenes with high-level permissions, most users do not know that the cause of the problem is from Dell's own software. As the company has successfully released version 5.5.16.1 to fix the problem, it recommends that users check and update it through SupportAssist or Dell Command Update.

In another case, HP faced a problem after releasing a BIOS update to several notebooks in the EliteBook, ProBook and ZBook families, with many users finding that the system entered the BitLocker Recovery page every time it was powered on. Although it entered the Recovery Key correctly and could log into Windows normally, once it was restarted, it would again ask for the recovery code.

HP explained that the problem was related to the Microsoft UEFI Secure Boot CA 2023 security certificate update process, in which some versions of the BIOS failed to save data completely, resulting in a malfunction being detected by the security system, and understood that there might be changes to the machine's hardware or firmware, thus prompting BitLocker to run and request the Recovery Key every time it booted.

Both Dell and HP confirmed that the problem was not a direct Windows 11 bug, but the result of the manufacturer's own software and firmware, both companies now issuing solutions and updates for those affected.
