no lie- I get these questions and comments EVERY week. If you’re tracking and charting ovulation as birth control: - your period tracker isn’t enough, it is just guessing - smart rings are typically over priced and can give you pretty wonky and unreliable temperature readings - learn a FAM m

you don’t need to be an alt right trad wife wellness pipeline kind of girlie to chart + track your cycle 🫶🏻💖 Charting ovulation (aka using fertility awareness) is an evidence based alternative form of BC that requires consistency + an actual METHOD. It is a skill that takes time to develop.

heyyyyy- I need you to know that FAM can be highly effective as birth control when done correctly. Tracking your cycle is not FAM. using LH strips is not FAM. tracking your bbt and kind of paying attention to your cervical mucus is not FAM. The uncertainty you feel around not knowing wh

Cervical mucus is NOT gross → it is out here doing the literal most. It is basically magic and it’s *such* a shame that so many of us either feel grossed out by it… or are sooo confused by it. So if I could drill 3 things into your brain about cervical mucus, it would be this: 1. Cervical

nothing is tmi in this house. Tell me about the color and consistency of your period. Tell me about the mucus you think is confusing. Tell me about the symptom you think no one else experiences… because bestie these are normal and healthy parts of our reproductive system and are NOTHING to be embar

so your off hormonal birth control … but you don’t want to become a mom in 2026? (or you don’t want to add another child to your fam) Well lucky for you, teaching people to avoid pregnancy without BC is exactly what I do for a living!! If you want to avoid pregnancy, you need to feel confi

your cervical mucus isn’t random discharge and is actually changing in response to your hormones: estrogen and progesterone. When estrogen is high, your cervix creates fertile mucus that allows sp3rm to survive. Estrogenic mucus typically shows up around ovulation. When progesterone is high

bestie stop relying on an app to tell you when you’ve ovulated and when it’s safe to go… you know 🌶️ You may not realize but it is a seriously dangerous game that can cause you to have a real big whoopsie by engaging in high risk activities - not realizing that you could be ovulating later than

you know that random “omg did I just start my period” feeling you get that makes you run to the bathroom to check?! … and then you realize your period didn’t start at all? What you might be experiencing is the SENSATION of highly fertile cervical mucus. If you’ve ever experienced this feel

sooooo I found out that TOO MANY of you are running to chat gpt when you have a question about ovulation / charting your cycle and this isn’t something I recommend!! AI can never understand the nuance of your cycle as well as a fertility awareness educator or YOU can 💕

Replying to @Cait | fam educator part 1: my experience with histamine intolerance + mcas. I’ve completely transformed my entire life to finally get relief and I know I’m not alone so I thought I’d do a series on my experience. This part is all about the symptoms I was experiencing, the heal

You can’t pinpoint ovulation without an ultrasound… So how do you know when you’re no longer fertile? You stop trying to guess the exact day and start focusing on the fertile window. A lot of people rely on one biomarker to confirm ovulation, but that leaves out so much important information.

You know that feeling like you are all of the sudden “ugly”? … like you have never looked worse? Well it could be that you’re in your luteal phase! It doesn’t help that during ovulation you may notice: ~ clearer skin ~ you look more plump ~ and your face may even be more symmetric

let me spill the tea: 1. I never relied on a period tracker’s algorithm to tell me when I was fertile or not. They are historically inaccurate and instead tracked my own ovulation signs. 2. Instead of tracking ovulation, I CHART ovulation using an evidence based fam method. Tracking is fine f

I’ve been on a histamine / mcas / estrogen dominance journey for a while now and it has truly been such an eye opening wild ride!! After going to allergists who found nothing wrong, going to doctors about heart palpitations/ menstrual concerns and trying to do all the “right” hormone health things

ah that canon moment when you come off birth control for the first time since you were a literal teenager and realize you have nooooo idea how your body works. I can guarantee that you are in two camps: 1. you are thinking of conceiving in the next couple of years and want your cycle to regula

#1 → I used to say things like “omg my cycle is the worst” or “I’m on my cycle right now”. Your period is one small part of your cycle. Your entire menstrual cycle is the full hormonal process that starts the first day of your bleed, and ends once you get your next period. #2 → I remember whe

Your period isn’t actually late…ovulation is 🤷‍♀️ Ovulation happens before your period, so if your period is delayed, it's because your body ovulated later than usual. Our bodies are pretty smart and will delay ovulation when they sense a threat (like historically, a bear chase 🐻).. but in m

just a few short years ago that would have absolutely sent me into a spiral… I would have opened my period app every few hours just to check if the prediction changed. Googled some variation of “late period but no symptoms.” Mentally mapped out the next nine months of my life, which i'm sure yo
