I recently tried this tomato crinkle tart recipe for a weekend brunch, and it quickly became a favorite. The combination of flaky phyllo dough and the rich, herby creaminess of alouette Garlic & Herbs Soft Spreadable Cheese creates a delightful contrast in every bite. One tip I found helpful was to fold the phyllo dough carefully into accordion shapes and brush each layer generously with melted butter to ensure a perfectly crisp texture. I love how the blistered cherry tomatoes add a fresh burst of sweetness that complements the tangy lemon zest mixed into the cheese filling. Adding chopped fresh basil on top not only garnishes the tart beautifully but also enhances the herbal notes. Baking at 400°F initially gives the tart a wonderful golden crust, and lowering the temperature to 375°F prevents the top from browning too quickly while the filling sets perfectly. This tart is incredibly versatile—it works great as a light lunch, an elegant appetizer, or part of a brunch spread with friends and family. Plus, since it uses minimal, accessible ingredients, it’s a stress-free dish to prepare when hosting. For a variation, I sometimes add a sprinkle of freshly cracked black pepper or a drizzle of balsamic glaze just before serving to add complexity. Overall, this crinkle tart combines convenience with gourmet flavors wonderfully. It’s become my go-to recipe whenever I want to impress guests with something simple yet sophisticated. I highly recommend keeping alouette’s Garlic & Herbs Soft Spreadable Cheese in your fridge for this and other easy, delicious recipes!
