I’ve been on this gym journey for 4 years. There have been so many times I failed and had to start over. Times when I stopped going to the gym and had to find my way back. Times when I got bigger than my usual weight and times when I got smaller than I wanted to be.
My body fluctuates quickly. If I’m not consistent with my eating, I can lose weight faster than I’d like. Over the years, I’ve watched my body change more times than I can count. People thought I was crazy because I didn’t like when I got “thicker,” but truthfully, there’s a specific way I want to look. I don’t want to just be “ thick”I want to be healthy, fit, and thick. 😂
I have so much more work to do within myself but this journey has taught me a lot about consistency. It was never about being perfect. It’s about showing up, even when motivation is gone. It’s about being consistent, even after setbacks. Every time I fell off, I chose to start again.
And that’s what I’m most proud of not perfection, but persistence. 💪✨

These tools help monitor workout duration, intensity, and even overall health metrics, which encourages accountability.
One challenge I've encountered often is managing quick weight fluctuations. From personal experience, meal prepping and maintaining a balanced diet tailored to my goals helped me reduce these swings significantly. I also found that focusing on strength training exercises not only improved my physique but also supported a healthy metabolism, which contributes to more stable body weight.
Moreover, understanding that setbacks are normal and not a failure helped me stay mentally strong. I used to get discouraged when I missed workouts or gained unwanted weight, but shifting my mindset to see these moments as temporary setbacks fueled my persistence. Celebrating small victories, like improving endurance or lifting heavier weights, kept my motivation alive.
For anyone starting or struggling with their fitness journey, I highly recommend forming a supportive community, either online or offline. Sharing goals, challenges, and tips with others turns the experience into a shared journey, making setbacks feel less isolating.
Lastly, emphasizing self-love and patience is key. This journey isn’t about being perfect or fitting a certain image but about building a healthier lifestyle over time. My experience shows that showing up consistently, even without the initial motivation, leads to lasting progress and a strong, healthy body.
