My March Books

I’ve noticed that I always turn to reading during my period week. I have a lot of hobbies, but I would say reading is the most comforting and cozy one 📖🤍

3/10 Edited to

... Read moreReading has always been my go-to comfort activity, especially during more reflective times like my period week. I find that diving into books offers a cozy escape and mental calmness that many other hobbies don't provide. This March, I explored a range of genres that kept me fully engaged and emotionally connected. One highlight was finishing a Canadian-authored mystery featuring characters in their 60s. I appreciate stories that explore diverse age groups because they offer fresh perspectives and nuanced character development. This particular book beautifully blended suspense, dark comedy, and crime fiction, making it an intriguing and satisfying read. I liked it so much I plan to recommend it to my mom, who also loves mysteries. Currently, I’ve just started a thriller titled "HELLO" from my long-standing to-be-read pile. What makes this read exciting is its TV adaptation, which adds another layer of interest as I picture how the story might translate on screen. Thrillers that keep me guessing are among my favorites, and this book fits perfectly within that niche. Up next on my list is a romantic fantasy novel with sapphic themes, which I discovered through an author’s social media reel. The immediacy of purchasing the book after watching a quick clip shows how powerful recommendations can be, especially when they resonate with specific interests like romantic fantasy. If you're looking to enhance your reading list, I recommend balancing comfort reads with genres that challenge your thinking or emotions. Whether it’s mystery, thriller, or fantasy, reading during downtime can be therapeutic and enjoyable. Plus, sharing these finds with loved ones adds a personal touch to the experience.
