Thanksgiving Rice

This recipe comes from an old hospital fundraiser cookbook from my hometown and I've never seen it anywhere else.

Oregano Rice:

1 cup uncooked white rice

4tbs unsalted butter

1 tsp. Salt

1/2 tsp. Black pepper

1 heaping tsp. Dried oregano

1 can beef consummé

3/4 cup water

Sautè rice, oregano, salt, pepper in melted butter until toasted in a pan.

Add beef consummè and water to rice. Bring it all to simmer for 1 minute and turn off heat.

Transfer everything to a 8x8 glass casserole dish and cover tightly with foil.

Bake in the oven at 350* for 50 minutes.
