Love Isn’t Measured by How Much You Give ✨
Many of us learned that love meant being the most available, the most understanding, the most accommodating.
But love that drains you isn’t secure… it’s survival.
This week we’re exploring what it means to love deeply without disappearing in the process.
Save this if you’re unlearning the need to overgive to feel secure. ✨💕

Reflecting on my personal journey, I've come to understand that love draining you isn't love—it's a survival response rooted in fear. I used to equate love with constant availability and overextending myself, believing that if I didn't give everything, I risked losing connection. But that overgiving led only to exhaustion and resentment. Through self-reflection and healing, I realized that safe love honors your boundaries and includes taking care of your own needs. Your inner child feels safest when love doesn’t require sacrificing yourself or ignoring your well-being. True emotional validation involves recognizing your limits and appreciating yourself as much as others. The fear of losing connection often drives overgiving, but it’s important to distinguish survival behaviors from genuine love. Love isn’t proven by how much you give or how much you accommodate—it’s proven by mutual respect, understanding, and emotional safety. I encourage everyone on a healing journey to save and revisit this message: Safe love allows space to breathe and grow without disappearing in the process. When you stop measuring love by quantity and instead focus on the quality of connection, you create relationships that nourish rather than drain. Setting healthy boundaries, practicing self-compassion, and validating your emotional needs can transform how you experience love. Remember, love that costs you yourself isn’t love—it’s exhaustion. Embracing this mindset has empowered me to cultivate deeper, more secure relationships that honor both me and those I care about.
