I want to tell you something real about my journey.

My name is Jasmine Twitty.

In August 2015, at just 25 years old, I became the youngest judge in U.S. history.

But what people don’t always see…

is that this didn’t happen overnight.

I was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on December 4, 1989.

I didn’t grow up with shortcuts or guarantees.

I worked night bond court, long hours, quiet shifts, learning the system from the inside out while serving my community when no one was watching.

I showed up when it was hard.

I stayed committed when it would’ve been easier to quit.

And that consistency led me to become the lead judicial officer for the City of Travelers Rest.

My journey isn’t just about titles or history books.

It’s about purpose.

It’s about balance.

It’s about believing that women can lead with strength and compassion — without losing who they are.

If my story tells you anything, let it be this:

Your age doesn’t limit your impact.

Your background doesn’t define your future.

And staying true to your purpose will always open the right doors.

If this inspired you even a little,

follow CHA UDRY Good News,

comment “PURPOSE”,

and share this with a woman who needs to hear it today.

... Read moreJasmine Twitty’s remarkable journey as the youngest judge appointed in U.S. history at age 25 is a powerful example of resilience and purpose-driven leadership. Born on December 4, 1989, in Greenville, South Carolina, she didn’t have shortcuts or easy guarantees in life. What set Jasmine apart was her unwavering commitment to learning and serving her community from behind the scenes, working long hours in night bond court and mastering the legal system when no one was watching. This experience gave her a deep understanding of the judicial process and built the foundation for her success. Her story highlights a greater message for women everywhere: leadership is not confined by age or background. It’s shaped by the choices we make, the challenges we embrace, and the values we hold. Jasmine showed that leading with both strength and compassion is key—she balanced firmness with empathy, proving that women can succeed without sacrificing who they truly are. Moreover, her dedication to purpose and consistency opens doors that may seem impossible to approach. Her role as lead judicial officer in Travelers Rest further demonstrates how persistence and belief in one’s goals can lead to groundbreaking achievements. For women aspiring to impact their communities or careers, Jasmine’s example serves as meaningful encouragement. It’s a reminder that age is not a barrier to influence, and the path to success involves showing up even during difficult times. Embracing challenges while staying authentic and purposeful allows for transformative opportunities that can inspire others to follow. If you find inspiration in Jasmine Twitty’s journey, sharing her story can uplift other women who might be standing at crossroads in their own lives, helping them realize that their future is in their hands regardless of their beginnings or age.

Things I would tell my 18 year old self:
Now that I’m 25 years old, I have had so many experiences now then I did when I was 18 years old. My mind was focused on partying, finally having my “independence”, and becoming a legal adult. Of course, as we grow we learn. So these are the thing I would tell my 18 year old self (and you guys)!
