NOT A RED V BLUE DEBATE: thoughts on regulation?

ok so here’s my perspective: as a young, POC, woman

who is just now educating myself on politics. for so long i personally did not care because i had much bigger, immediate issues to handle. however, i see more and more why my ignorance is part of a bigger problem. so i started up conversations with my bosses about politics.

TODAY I REALIZE, even husband and wife can misunderstand their own political views. all both of these folks wanted at the end of the day was regulation.

**NEITHER PARTIES SOLVES THE REAL PROBLEMS**

either the democratic party needs to get their shit together and advertise better. or we really just need a new party. the only reason i’d vote blue is because i’m not voting for trump, and the democrats will protect my bare minimum rights. i truly think there is a different route to go. why is no one talking about compromise? balance? things are not so black and white. why are we not talking about regulation. it would be so easy to find the middle ground so that everyone is happy and on the same page. TRUE conservatism is dying out i believe, and some aren’t really educated on what ALL they’re voting for. they found one attractive aspect and chose that option. and some truly believe that the world will continue as it always has and nothing would really change. i understand this perspective as well, but did nothing change? or did nothing change for you specifically? because if and when changes are made, they will pack a punch and cause a lot of issues. just ask all the women who have suffered or have passed due to the ban on abortion.

BOTTOM LINE: we need better ideas. clearly this battle between two parties-two ideas is not working. this is what should be talked about. why is it that 4+ candidates ran, and only 2 candidates were ever talked about.

... Read moreIn today's political climate, many young voters are feeling disillusioned by the binary nature of party politics. This article emphasizes the importance of recognizing that neither the Democratic nor Republican parties may effectively address the complex issues at hand. For instance, voters are increasingly aware of problems like healthcare and the impact of regulations on everyday lives. The argument is made that it’s crucial to explore nuanced approaches, such as third-party candidates who present alternative viewpoints. Understanding political ideologies can help engage more voters and foster dialogues that transcend simple party lines. As our society evolves, it's time to advocate for a political framework that includes diverse voices, ensuring marginalized groups have representation. Voter behavior shows that many focus on singular issues, often ignoring the broader implications of their votes. Hence, a balanced political discourse could pave the way for innovative solutions catering to collective needs. Events around the 2024 elections will further shape these discussions as potential candidates emerge, highlighting the desire for new faces in politics. Can we shift our approach to ensure that everyone's interests are truly represented?

I agree with you! The two party system is awful and causing so much division. I truly believe the majority of people want the same things; safety, freedom, prosperity, etc- it’s just how we go about achieving it that we disagree. There’s definitely common ground that can be found. Honestly a lot of people didn’t like

if you got rid of the two party system, society would naturally come up with it again. it wasnt intended to be a split like this but because of so many different ideologies, it’ll always come down to the big main points. people already dont do their research for elections and we want to add like 10 more names and make them all different parties with slight variations
