🌟 crochet stitches to use 🌟

there are an endless amount of varying and different crochet stitches that you can use to elevate you projects, here are a few of my favorites:

🧶 moss stitch: the simplest stitch on this list (using just single crochets and chains) and by far one of my favorite ones visually, when it comes to color change/multicolored yarns!

🧶 star stitch: there are several stitches that use this same basic principle, single crochet 'x amount' together, but this stitch is mainly for five spiked stars, but can be changed depending on how many you "sc2tog"

🧶 waffle stitch: probably one of my more used complex stitches, as its so versatile to projects from hats to blankets to washcloths to mats, etc., definitely worth learning and using!

🧶 houndstooth stitch: a CLASSIC!!! super simple to emulate in crochet as it alternates between single and double crochet stitched, and works-up beautifully!

there are do many other 'complex' stitches that I love, but these are the ones I always keep going back to, what stitches do you find you love the most in crochet?

... Read moreCrocheting is a versatile craft, and knowing different stitches can significantly elevate your projects. One stitch to master is the **Moss stitch**. This simple yet visually appealing technique combines single crochets and chains, making it a great choice for multicolored yarns. The **Star stitch** is another popular choice, known for creating beautiful five-pointed stars. Though it may seem complex, it simply involves crocheting multiple single crochet stitches together. The **Waffle stitch** adds texture and versatility, suitable for items like hats, blankets, and washcloths. Lastly, the **Houndstooth stitch** offers a classic aesthetic with alternating single and double crochet stitches, allowing you to switch colors for personalization. Additionally, there are many intricate stitches out there; exploring them can lead to truly unique creations. Engaging with the crochet community can also inspire you to try new patterns and techniques, helping you discover your favorites!

The waffle stitch is really fun! I’m currently making a fall themed blanket with it, and I doubt I’ll finish before I graduate college lol
