This is what I get for being lazy, and not doing my own hair. I wanted a retie paid 275$. 24 of my locs looked like this, & I had to uncombined 12 of my locs . It was not fun. It took hours I even lost two locs. She did not tell me what she did when I left the seat I noticed them 3 days later when I was already gone. I reached out to her to fix the ones I noticed (which was 4 at the time)… she stated “It’s like 4 of them & if you want it wouldn’t change anything except the amount you have”. Told her I did not want them like that and ask that she fixed them … and never replied. I ended up noticing 8 more of my locs just like this. My locs did not need to be combined . They were healthy from the rooter to the tooter. As a stylist myself my clients pay way too much for me to be playing in their head, and do lazy work. Our hair is our crown. I love my hair down! I’ve spent 2 years growing my locs and for it to be damaged by someone who spent 3 hours in it is insane. Thank you for letting me vent.

A proper loc retieing often takes time, and rushing can lead to lazy work and damage. It’s always better to invest more time and care than paying for quick fixes that harm your hair. Protecting your locs’ integrity ensures they remain healthy and beautiful for years. For anyone growing locs, remember that it's a journey filled with maintenance and love. Avoid shortcuts or letting someone hurriedly handle your hair just to save a few bucks. Your locs deserve respect and careful handling, just like any other part of your body.
