This is “Stevie Tv” One of my many cartoons

Hey everyone! So glad you're enjoying my latest creation, Stevie Tv! A lot of you have been asking about the inspiration behind this quirky character, and I'm super excited to share a bit more about his journey from a random sketch to a full-blown painting on canvas. Honestly, Stevie Tv came to me in a dream, almost! I was watching an old sci-fi movie with lots of retro tech, and the idea of a character with a vintage television set as a head just popped into my mind. I wanted to create something that felt both nostalgic and futuristic at the same time. The static on the screen for his face and those piercing blue circles for eyes were meant to give him a bit of mystery and a playful, almost mischievous vibe. The process of bringing Stevie Tv to life was quite an adventure. I started with a few rough sketches, trying to get the proportions right. The hardest part was figuring out how to make a body out of electronics without it looking too clunky. That's where the colorful wires came in! I imagined them as his lifelines, connecting his head to a stack of electronic devices that form his body. Each device represents a different function or personality trait, though I'm still developing those! Painting all those intricate details, especially the reflective surfaces of the TV and the subtle glow of the static, took a lot of patience. I experimented with different brushstrokes to give the illusion of wires actually popping out of the canvas. For any fellow artists out there looking to create their own unique cartoon character, my biggest tip is to draw inspiration from everywhere! Don't be afraid to mix and match elements from different eras or genres. Think about the story behind your character: What's their personality? Where do they come from? These questions really help flesh out the design. And definitely don't shy away from experimenting with unconventional body parts or materials, like I did with Stevie's TV head and wired body! It makes the character stand out and gives them a memorable identity. I'm already thinking about Stevie Tv's next adventure. Maybe he'll get an upgrade, or perhaps meet another quirky electronic friend. What do you guys think?
