Current/Previous Nursing Students!!

I am in college doing it fully online. I’m majoring in Pre-Professional Nursing currently. My current classes are Anatomy and Physiology I and Math for Healthcare Professionals. Unfortunately, this is my third time taking both classes because I ended up having two babies and couldn’t keep up with my schoolwork. Do any current or previous nursing students have any tips for me to be able to keep up with my schoolwork and pass my classes this time? #nursingstudent #nursingcollege #nursingstudents #nursingmajor #nursingstudentlife

... Read moreBalancing nursing school and family responsibilities, especially as an online student, can be challenging but manageable with the right strategies. Many students majoring in Pre-Professional Nursing face demanding coursework like Anatomy and Physiology I and Math for Healthcare Professionals. It's common to retake such classes when juggling parenting duties. Here are some effective tips to help nursing students succeed: 1. Create a Structured Schedule: Plan specific times for studying, assignments, and attending virtual lectures. Block out family time to maintain balance and avoid burnout. 2. Prioritize Self-Care: Caring for yourself physically and mentally ensures better focus during study sessions. Adequate sleep, nutrition, and short breaks can improve retention. 3. Utilize Online Resources: Take advantage of digital flashcards, anatomy apps, math tutorials, and videos that can aid comprehension of complex topics. 4. Join Study Groups: Connecting with peers, either through online forums or social media groups, provides mutual support, motivation, and additional perspectives. 5. Communicate with Instructors: Don't hesitate to reach out for clarification, extensions, or tutoring opportunities. Faculty can offer guidance tailored to your situation. 6. Set Achievable Goals: Break down coursework into manageable sections. Celebrate small wins to maintain momentum. 7. Leverage Time Management Tools: Use planners, reminder apps, or timers like the Pomodoro technique to enhance productivity. By implementing these strategies, nursing students who are parents or caregivers can overcome academic hurdles. Remember that persistence and seeking support are key to passing challenging courses like Anatomy and Physiology and Healthcare Math. Many students successfully graduate using these approaches, proving that dedication alongside effective planning leads to nursing career success.
