Food Diary: Gyro Edition

i LOVE gyro sandwiches 😩🖤 It definitely is in my recipe rotation once or twice a month, as I put extra time & love making them. A LOT of prep is involved, but the results make it very worth it 🤤

I’ll go from shawarma chicken, vegan or beef/lamb koftas, and even made a peri peri chicken version.

What’s really time consuming is making the naan from scratch. But I love making it in bulk & freezing the extra ones for later. I’ll typically make shcug & vegan tzatziki sauces to go with them too.

Then my typical salad mixture (romaine, bell peppers, red onions, & cucumbers) & rice to add also. Super filling, but lowkey is also a clean meal.
