I had a due date of June 7th 2021…. Once I found out my placenta previa had not corrected itself we had a schedule c-section date for May 18th. (Placenta previa is where the placenta is below the baby and above the cervix making it impossible to have a vaginal birth)

There are chances of bleeding throughout your pregnancy with placenta previa and your girl had three episodes within a few months. The last bleed I was admitted into the hospital until delivery day 4/26/21…….Well…….I was given a shot for baby boys lungs as we were only 34 weeks, day two no bleeding thought we were in the clear, another shot to complete the two shot series for baby boys lungs! Woke up day 3 and bled again 😥…..I was moved closer to the operating room and was monitored very closely. A shift change happened things seemed to be calm until around 6:30pm when I had another episode and that’s when it was called an emergency c-section was to take place STAT. 7:02pm 4/28/21 on day three of my hospital stay my final baby boy was born💙🧢

He had a nicu stay due to me having gestational diabetes and his sugar needing to be stable, and him needing to keep his body temperature stable. I stayed the 4 days and baby boy stayed an additional 7 days.

With previous experiences in dealing with complications such as bleeding episodes, many mothers opt for scheduled C-sections. It's essential to have a strong support system in place, as navigating the emotions and logistics surrounding childbirth can be overwhelming. In addition to medical consultations, joining support groups or forums for sharing experiences can provide emotional relief and practical advice for women facing similar challenges. The NICU journey is also a common experience for newborns requiring close monitoring, particularly if there are concerns like gestational diabetes. Ultimately, each birth story is unique, and recognizing the strength and resilience in the face of adversity can empower mothers everywhere.
