I was nine months pregnant and out with friends at a quirky restaurant known for spicy food. Suddenly, I felt contractions, but brushed it off until my water broke in the middle of the meal, causing a scene. My friends, one making whale noises, called an Uber. The panicked driver missed the hospital exit, and we got stuck in traffic next to a taco truck.
We finally arrived at the hospital, where I was rushed in by a sprinting nurse, my friends still making whale noises. After a chaotic but speedy labor, my baby made his grand entrance. And that's how my little one was born after a spicy meal, a traffic jam, and a lot of laughter!
