Gospel for today: John 16:12-15

But then comes the incredible promise: "But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth." This is where the Holy Spirit steps in as our divine mentor. The "Spirit of truth" isn't just a comforter; He's our personal guide, illuminating God's word and helping us understand mysteries we couldn't comprehend on our own. I've personally experienced moments where a verse I've read countless times suddenly clicks, revealing a deeper meaning I missed before. I truly believe that's the Holy Spirit at work, guiding me to a new layer of truth. The passage goes on to explain that the Spirit "will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming." This reassures us that the Holy Spirit's guidance is always in alignment with the Father and the Son. He doesn't introduce new doctrines out of the blue; rather, He reveals and clarifies what has already been spoken by Jesus, pointing us back to Him.
