Preparing for the summer cuz I’m finna be outside 😂
Meal prepping can be a game-changer, especially when you have a busy schedule or want to maintain a healthy lifestyle without spending hours cooking each day. Roasting sweet potatoes at 400° for about 30 minutes brings out their natural sweetness and creates a delicious base for any meal. I like to season them simply with salt, pepper, and a touch of paprika to add some warmth. Adding a protein like browned ground beef seasoned with taco spices not only boosts the flavor but also adds necessary nutrients to keep you full longer. Green beans are a fantastic veggie side that pairs well with this combo; they’re easy to steam or sauté, and their crunch contrasts nicely with the softness of the potatoes. If you’re prepping for summer activities or workout days, this meal is great because it balances carbs, protein, and fiber, supporting energy and recovery. Plus, it’s budget-friendly and versatile—you can swap ground beef for chicken or turkey, or change up the veggies based on what’s in season. From my experience, prepping these ingredients in bulk means you can quickly assemble meals throughout the week. Just portion everything into containers and refrigerate. When you’re ready, reheat and enjoy a nutritious, homemade meal without the hassle of cooking from scratch every day. It’s a simple method that keeps meal prep fun and sustainable.
