Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu at Holland Village

What’s there not to love about @gyukatsu_kyotokatsugyu_sg? Their renowned medium-rare beef cutlets are tender and crunchy on the outside. They have opened a second outlet at @onehollandv.

If you can afford to splurge, you can try their highly-prized Miyazaki A5 Sirloin. The wagyu meat is one of the most tender beef cutlets you will ever try.

We went for their signature half-and-half set (from $29) which features 2 different types of beef cuts. You can sear the medium-rare beef cutlet on the personal grill to your preferred doneness. Each slice of Gyukatsu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

They provide a few condiments in the set which you can pair the meat with. The rice and cabbage are free-flow.

⭐️: 4.5/5 (Superb beef cutlets that have a great texture.)

🤑: Sets from $25++

... Read moreDuring my recent visit to Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu at Holland Village, I was impressed by the variety of sauces that perfectly complemented the beef cutlets. From the citrusy Japanese radish sauce to the rich dashi soy sauce, each added a unique layer of flavor that enhanced the umami of the wagyu. One standout condiment was the grated fresh wasabi paired with ponzu sauce, which provided a refreshing contrast to the richness of the beef. The option to sear the meat further on a personal grill meant I could enjoy it exactly to my preferred doneness, which made the meal even more satisfying. The free-flow rice and cabbage helped balance the meal, and the portion sizes were generous, making it great for both casual diners and those splurging on the Miyazaki A5 Sirloin. For those seeking an authentic taste of Japanese beef cutlets with a modern touch, this restaurant is a must-visit at Holland Village. If you’re a fan of gyukatsu, I recommend trying their signature half-and-half set so you can savor different beef cuts in one meal. Plus, the option to customize grilling and pair the meat with various sauces makes every bite exciting. The cozy atmosphere at the Holland Village outlet adds to the overall dining experience, making it worth the visit.

If you’ve traveled to Japan, you’ve probably seen the snaking queues for this spot. @gyukatsu_kyotokatsugyu_sg has opened their second outlet here, and it’s just as authentic as the original. The secret is their koromo batter—it’s super thin and crispy, so the beef stays perfectly medium-rare. Y

The Ribeye Gyukatsu is a must-order, it literally melts in your mouth with each piece seared to your preferred doneness. Be sure to make a reservation and request table seating rather than counter seating as the sizzling can splatter if you’re seated too close. 📍Gyusei Gyukatsu Wagyu Steakhouse
