@g_dessert_gweejie is a new Chinese dessert spot along Keong Saik Road which has just opened 2 months ago. They offer hand-crushed ice desserts with fruits and other toppings like rice balls, black glutinous rice and pearls.
They currently only offer cold desserts in their curated menu. There are no drinks and no hot desserts. The ice is crushed by hand and they prepared each bowl of dessert on the spot. The texture of the shaved ice tends to be a little uneven and gritty because of that. But I noticed that the ice doesn’t melt as fast as compared to the iced shaved by machines.
They add milk to the shaved ice. The fruits used are very fresh and sweet. They offer durian, mangoes, honeydew and longan desserts.
The standout for us would be their signature MK durian which is topped with a scoop of durian ice cream. If you’re into durians, their signature Durian dessert is a must-try. Each portion is just nice for one pax. Prices are on slightly on the higher end.
Desserts are overall simple and not too sweet. They offer complimentary water which is a nice touch. Service is warm.

... Read moreIf you're a fan of Hong Kong-style desserts, G² Dessert is a charming find worth visiting. What impressed me most was how their hand-crushed ice holds up without melting too quickly, giving each bite a refreshingly cool texture with a slight grit that feels homemade and authentic.
I love that all their fruits are fresh and naturally sweet, adding bright flavors that complement the creamy milk-infused ice perfectly. Their signature MK Durian dessert, topped with a scoop of durian ice cream, is a must-try if you appreciate the rich, custardy taste of Musang King durian. Even though the prices sit on the higher side starting from around $9.80, the quality and generous toppings justify it.
Another highlight is the use of black glutinous rice and chewy mini rice balls, which add different textures and a subtle earthy sweetness, making the desserts more satisfying. Though G² Dessert currently serves only cold desserts with no drinks or hot items, the attentive and warm service makes each visit pleasant. Plus, complimentary water is a thoughtful touch.
For those concerned about dietary restrictions, the desserts do not contain alcohol or gelatin, but note that the place is not halal certified. Located conveniently at 14 Keong Saik Road, it’s a perfect treat spot when exploring this vibrant neighborhood. I’d definitely recommend trying their mango or honeydew options too, for a lighter fruity experience.
Overall, G² Dessert is a delightful interpretation of classic Hong Kong shaved ice with a fresh twist—handcrafted daily and served with care, capturing the essence of nostalgic flavors in a modern setting.
