When Graham Walker, the former CEO of Fibrebond, a Louisiana-based infrastructure manufacturing company, decided to sell it to Eaton Corporation for up to $1.7 billion (about $5.9 billion), he added an "unnegotiated one-term" to the contract. 📄✍️

The condition is that "15% of the proceeds of the sale must be divided among the 540 employees."

Although these employees have no shares in the company and no legal claim on the money, Walker persisted. 🏢❤️

Fibrebond was founded by Walker's father in 1982. The company went through many heavy crises, both the Great Factory Fire of 1998, the Dotcom Soap Bubble Crisis, and the year-long sluggish economic climate. But employees remained loyal to the company, not leaving each other even during the suspension of salary increases or the need to lay off. 🤝🛡️

Until 2020, the company made a big bet, invested over $150 million into the Data Center infrastructure, and it was a spectacular success, leading to a divestiture that could reward everyone who co-created the company. 🌐💡
