When BYD's AI can compare photos under the car to warn the driver when there is a child or pet subduction.
Deep people, who have young children or pets at home, should have dreaded when going back or out, right? Because the most scary and difficult to control blind spot is the "under the car" area that the camera can't see. 🐶👧
Most recently, I came across the 2026 technology update from the newly patented BYD AI security system, designed specifically to scan life under the car. 🚙✨
This system does not only use normal motion sensors, but it uses a so-called Baseline Imaging, with this:
When we're done parking, the system takes a picture under the car as a reference.
When we start the car to leave, the system takes another shot in real time.
The AI brain will quickly compare two images. If something new appears, such as a dog sleeping in the sun or a child slipping in, the AI will immediately scan the spot, right?
The cool thing is that this AI is also trained to distinguish shadows, dust, or debris on the road, so that the system does not warn and really focuses on the safety of the organism. If it is estimated that there is a risk, the system will alert the driver before moving immediately. 🛑
Using AI to plug blind spots is a safety system that really solves the problem. If this technology is installed in cars on the street, it should reduce the risk of accidents in the community. 👏
