Friendsgiving melts

Part 17 of Recipes from my cookbook! I know you’ll love this because it’s Great for repurposing leftovers- or great any time of year, enjoy!

Serves 2-4 depending on if you want to share or make it your main Time:

Ingredients: 

* Two small loaves of hoagie bread cut horizontally (200g)

* 4 oz cranberry goat cheese, divided (113g)

* 8 oz Turkey slices or rotisserie chicken, divided (226g)

* 3 oz prosciutto or smoked/honey ham, divided (85g)

* 4 oz brie or camembert cheese, divided, and cut into thin slices (113g)

* 4 oz homemade or store-bought gravy ( anything works, but I like beef gravy most) (113g)

* A handful of potato chips or French fried onions (40g)

* 1 granny Smith apple cut into thin slices, (use whatever you have!) or your fav greens! 

* 3 tbsp homemade cranberry sauce (recipe to follow) (53g)

1. Set the toaster or oven to 350 degrees 

2. On a baking sheet, lay your bread down and distribute the goat cheese on one side of the bread. On the other side, assemble a layer of turkey, prosciutto, and thinly sliced cheese. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until both kinds of cheese are warm and melty. 

3. In the meantime make the beef gravy or warm up the11 store-bought, when the sandwich is finished toasting, spread the goat cheese evenly along the bread, add a layer of gravy to the cheese and meat side, crumble some potato chips and french fried onions, add the apples on top of the gravy, I know this sounds a little strange but it's the perfect “barrier” and barely anything falls out of the sandwich with this structure!
